Kreis Bergstraße is a district in the southern part of Hesse, Germany. It is named after the Bergstraße, a historic route running through the area known for its mild climate and vineyard-covered hills. The district is bordered to the west by Heidelberg and to the south by Mannheim, both in Baden-Württemberg. Its administrative center is Heppenheim. The region is known for its picturesque landscapes, wine production, and cultural heritage, including castles and ancient towns.
