Kreis Düren is a district in the western part of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is bordered by the districts of Rhein-Erft-Kreis, Rhein-Kreis Neuss, Heinsberg, and the counties of Aachen and Euskirchen. The district covers an area of approximately 941 square kilometers and hosts a population of around 260,000 residents. Düren, the district's capital, is known for its role in paper manufacturing and various cultural events. The region also offers picturesque landscapes, including parts of the Eifel National Park.
